Welch and Wandsworth General Contractors complete a truly stunning transformation of a former 100-year-old Laguna Beach home into a modern masterpiece, the best of architectural and engineering innovations.

What originally started as a kitchen remodel quickly developed into a full-blown home remodel requiring significant engineering adaptations incorporating new retaining walls, external and internal staircases and an innovative mod pool container design swimming pool the first of its kind in Laguna Beach installed by Mason Pool Co.

The home stands on a tired building site 2 blocks back from PCH with unrestricted ocean views, incorporating 2 levels with floor-to-ceiling bi-fold windows and doors, with a complete transformation of the grounds both at the front and rear of the property with luscious landscaping designed and installed by local landscape specialist Rooted Landscape Design Studio. The interiors with emphasis on kitchens and bathrooms were all sourced and specified by San Clemente based interior design consultant The Kitchen Lady and the overall project management was undertaken by KFA Consulting Project management based in San Juan Capistrano.

Engineering consultants were Rigsbee Engineering Tustin, CA for interior design concepts and Cal Pro Design & Engineering Inc., Laguna Beach for all the exterior hardscape areas.
